Giving farmers a reason work
By Emma Harrington
In Northern Niberia, the desert is spreading, which forces farmers to migrate into the city, therefore stripping them of their employment, creating strain on jobs, and decreasing food supply. This causes a lot of issues in the socio-economic status of the population.
Procare’s goal is to plant 5,000 fruit bearing trees over a period of five years. This will create sustainable land for the agricultural market, as well as provide food for poor communities.
This is one of our largest projects. In order to see this vision fulfilled, we need to purchase land, buy seeds, set up an irrigation system, hire security, and pay laborers. Any donations, network contacts, or future volunteers would be welcome!
